YouTube · i24NEWS studio interview 20 Oct (article 20:17Z); same line from Channel 14 interview covered by GB News, JNS, jfeed, World Israel News; Arab News 21 Oct 'Netanyahu derides France as extremist Islam haven'

True

The YouTube post's caption accurately quotes Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks made in an i24NEWS interview (Oct 20, 2026). i24NEWS published the interview and Times of Israel and other outlets reproduced the quoted lines.

Did Emmanuel Macron call Benjamin Netanyahu on October 7 about a ceasefire?

X · Channel 14 clip pushed by C14 English (about 1.2K likes per a search result, not traced into raw HTML); picked up by GB News, JFeed, Belaaz, INN and Arabi21; full interview due out 20 Oct; this repost has 64 likes (X syndication, 20 Oct)

Can't Verify

The video appears to be an authentic Channel 14 interview in which Benjamin Netanyahu says Emmanuel Macron called him on Oct 7 and that he dismissed calls for an immediate ceasefire, calling Hamas 'monsters' and comparing them to ISIS. The clip is genuine and the quotes are reported by multiple outlets; factual assertions inside the remarks (for example the existence/content of the private call and the claim that Hamas are present 'on the streets of Paris') are not independently corroborated and remain unverified or contestable.

Did Trump say Macron blames him for rioting in France?

X · @HQNewsNow video 21,593 likes; earlier @MarioNawfal "Macron blames the riots... on Trump??" 5,835 likes (X syndication, 20 Oct); Fox News "Beleaguered Macron cites US-Iran war as factor"

True

The video shows an authentic Oct. 19, 2026 White House press exchange: a Daily Wire reporter paraphrased Macron linking unrest in France to the Iran war, Trump called that 'fake news', then praised The Daily Wire after she identified herself. Multiple reputable sources and a press transcript confirm the interaction.

What did Trump say about Russia and Ukraine on October 19, 2026?

X · @atrupar clip 3,867 likes (X syndication, 20 Oct); quote carried by HuffPost, NY Post, Kyiv Independent, US News/Reuters, Yahoo CA, Military.com within 24h

True

The video is authentic and the caption accurately quotes President Trump saying on Oct. 19, 2026 that "Russia, frankly, has been fine on Ukraine." However, that characterization is misleading: multiple reputable news outlets report ongoing Russian missile and drone strikes in mid-October 2026, including large attacks on Oct. 19, so the substance of Trump's statement misrepresents recent Russian activity.

What happened during the serious incident at Canadian military base?

TikTok · TikTok page: 209,200 plays, 5,665 likes, 3,328 shares, 351 comments; AFP says the same fireball clip spread in montages on TikTok, Facebook and X (some French captions)

True But

The post correctly reports that a serious incident at CFB Wainwright on Oct 17, 2026 produced a major fire and was confirmed by the Prime Minister — that outcome is corroborated by official Canadian government statements and multiple news outlets. However, the video is a montage that mixes footage from different sources/locations and at least some clips appear not to be from Wainwright, so the visuals are misleading.

Did Russia launch 76 attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the ceasefire announcement?

Facebook · Zelensky's 19 Oct Facebook post ('delays in certain types of vital supplies at the level of the U.S. Department of Defense'); KI Patriot/PURL story is trending on Mastodon; 20 Minutes, El Español, KI, Ukrinform, Censor coverage 19-20 Oct

True But

Ukrainian authorities and the president reported that Russian strikes in mid-October 2026 targeted energy infrastructure across multiple regions, causing substation damage, localised blackouts and fires. The Ukrainian president said these attacks continued after a U.S.-announced 'energy ceasefire' and provided a tally of 76 attacks in the following week.

Did Iran burn another oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz?

X · @A7DATH_78 post: 432 likes (X syndication, 20 Oct 02:46Z); same clip spread by Iranian agencies Tasnim and Fars and by @alahvaziran (69 likes), @MohamadShamass, @ALI_ALKAML13; Misbar AR and EN checks 19 Oct

Misleading

The video plausibly shows a burning ship, and reputable outlets report that tankers caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz around Oct 17, 2026; but the caption's claim that "Iran burned another oil tanker" is misleading: Iran's own statements described mines/accidents and earlier versions of similar footage predate the conflict, so the post overstates attribution and may reuse old video.

What does the video of the French protests show?

X · 195,642 likes, 2,386 replies (X syndication, 19 Oct)

True But

The video appears to be authentic footage from the recent French student protests; French outlets (BFMTV, Le Parisien) reported a related incident on Oct 1, 2026 in Marseille where a person used an aerosol-and-lighter improvised flamethrower against a woman and a 15-year-old was later detained.

What did Pete Hegseth say about Afghanistan?

X · 2,550 likes, 1,132 replies on the clip (X syndication, checked 19 Oct). Sikorski's quote-post of this exact clip (@sikorskiradek 2111776371634569375) has 17,594 likes. The clip led to a No 10 rebuke on 19 Oct and pushback from the Czech FM. Covered by Guardian, Mirror, HuffPost UK, LBC, Politico.eu,

Misleading

The video is authentic and shows Pete Hegseth speaking at the University of Tennessee on October 17, 2026 and making the quoted remarks. He did say the lines about '50 flags' and the ISAF joke, but his claim that only 'one or two' allied countries were involved in kinetic operations is misleading and contradicted by the record of allied combat participation and casualties.

Did Marco Rubio say Kyiv received no early warning before missile strikes?

X · 536 likes and 91 replies (X syndication, 19 Oct). The 'Марко Рубіо' query is at 10,000+ on Google Trends UA (19 Oct, linked to the no-warning story). 24tv says Rubio cited a software glitch, denied that intel sharing stopped and questioned Zelensky's claims.

True

The video clip and tweet accurately show Marco Rubio saying he could not confirm reports that Kyiv received no early warning before overnight ballistic missile strikes and that he did not have enough information; Ukrainian officials also reported the lack of a warning before the first strike and this reporting is corroborated by contemporary news coverage.

Did Ukraine apologize for a drone incident in Lithuanian airspace?

X · Tykhyi post 1,361 likes; Nauseda post ('Russia's war... spilling over', 704 likes, 213 replies); KI, UP and Reuters coverage; separate Polish search for an object near Lublin (Trends UA 'польша')

True But

The post is an authentic-seeming official statement from Ukraine's Foreign Ministry expressing regret and apologising after a suspected drone entered Lithuanian airspace on 18 Oct 2026; multiple reputable outlets corroborate the incident and that Ukraine characterised Russian electronic warfare as a possible cause, but the claimed diversion by Russian EW remains an assessment rather than independently confirmed fact.

Did a video show panic-buying in Saudi Arabia due to war-related shortages?

False

The video is authentic footage from the documented opening of a supermarket in Mecca in late August 2025; it does not show current, war-driven panic-buying or shortages in Saudi Arabia. The post's caption misrepresents the clip and is misleading.

Is Trump negotiating peace between Russia and Ukraine?

X · 1,279 likes, 866 replies (syndication); covered by Mediaite, Daily Beast, MEAWW and Newsweek on 18-19 Oct

True But

The screenshot reproduces a Truth Social post by Donald J. Trump on Oct 18, 2026 and is corroborated by multiple reputable news outlets. The post accurately quotes Trump's words, but several factual claims inside the post (for example, the extent of 'hostage negotiations' and specific allegations about targeting diesel refineries) are not independently verified in public reporting.

Did a Yemeni missile strike oil facilities in Saudi Arabia?

X · @xbqaj 94 likes; @CulturalLens 12 likes / 18 replies; Misbar AR+EN 18 Oct; CNN Arabic 17 Oct covered a similar Dammam clip (see carryover).

Misleading

The video clip is authentic footage but not of the Saudi Eastern‑Province (Dhahran/Aramco) strike claimed in the post. The same footage was published in mid‑August 2026 showing a fuel‑depot fire in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq; using it to illustrate the October Dhahran attack is misleading.

Did Russia launch 76 attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the ceasefire announcement?

X · 13,885 likes, 1,197 replies (X syndication). Covered by Kyiv Independent, NV, Euromaidan Press, La Dépêche live.

True But

The video and caption show and repeat Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's claim that since a U.S. 'energy ceasefire' announcement on October 11, 2026, Russia struck Ukraine's energy, oil and gas infrastructure 76 times and that overnight strikes on substations hit Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa regions. Multiple reputable outlets and regional authorities report the strikes and blackouts on the nights of October 16–18, 2026, and they attribute the 76-count to Zelenskyy.

What Did J.D. Vance Say About Putin?

X · X_Global_tv clip 1,549 likes, 2,462 replies; David Corn quote 4,081 likes (syndication); HuffPost UK write-up 18 Oct

Can't Verify

A genuine Fox News interview clip is circulating in which J.D. Vance says he has never met Vladimir Putin in person, that he has spoken with Putin by phone, and that Putin is "soft-spoken" and "deliberate." The video and transcript match; the caption accurately quotes Vance. Independent reporting beyond social reposts is limited at the moment.

True

An official coalition statement (posted via CJFCSpox and carried by the Saudi Press Agency on 18 October 2026) announced that an AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed in Najran due to a technical malfunction and that both crew members (two officers) were killed; multiple reputable news outlets corroborate this.

Did European diplomats get attacked by masked Israelis in Taybeh?

X · 1,539 likes (syndication). Covered by ToI; Belgium/Poland MFAs, IDF and FM Sa'ar condemned the attack; Rubio 'very disturbed' (ToI 18 Oct).

True But

The X post is an authentic statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office (Oct 17, 2026) urging caution about reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Independent reporting from AP, Reuters syndications, Washington Post, The Guardian and others confirms that a diplomatic delegation was assaulted in Taybeh on Oct 17, 2026; the PMO's call to wait for 'compelling evidence' and its suggestion of a smear campaign are political judgments not substantiated by independent evidence in the reviewed coverage.

Did Donald Trump post 'Top Ramen coupons' message on Truth Social?

X · 16,514 likes / 622 replies (X syndication, 17 Oct); Lead Stories fact-check 16 Oct; ties to live story of Trump pausing Russia sanctions

False

The image is a manipulated/fabricated screenshot attributing a satirical message to Donald J. Trump; independent fact-checkers found no record of the quoted Truth Social post and mainstream outlets do not report such a post — the claim that Trump published this message is false.

False

The video in the post is authentic footage but originates from older Iranian military exercises (2024) and does not show a current rocket strike on the Abu Bakr Al‑Siddiq camp in Khamis Mushait; the post's claim is misleading and not supported by independent reporting.

True

X · 11,167 likes, 1,101 replies (X syndication, 17 Oct); embedded by Kyiv Independent, Spiegel, El Espanol, Open, tvn24 on 17 Oct

True

The video and Zelenskyy’s caption report a large Russian strike on Ukraine’s energy sector (overnight Oct 16–17, 2026) that hit more than 15 generation/transmission facilities; this is confirmed by multiple reputable news outlets and Ukrainian authorities, and emergency restoration work was reported as underway.

Did Trump Waive All Sanctions on Russia Under the Graham Act?

X · 7,425 likes, 454 replies (X syndication, 17 Oct); quotes the order text posted by @Fritschner; story led Euronews, El Pais, Spiegel, Open on 17 Oct

True But

The post correctly reports that President Trump used the Graham Act's waiver authority to suspend or waive new sanctions and tariffs required by the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act on Oct. 16, 2026. Saying he "waived all of the sanctions" is an overbroad characterization: the action suspended or exempted many of the law's new measures but did not eliminate existing sanctions imposed under prior authorities.
