Did Charlie Kirk say children should watch public executions as an initiation?

Facebook · Snopes says readers asked about this and other Facebook posts (13 Oct); it resurfaced alongside Hegseth's plan to livestream the Fort Hood shooter's execution · resurfaced

True But

The caption accurately attributes a line from a February 15, 2024 Thoughtcrime panel in which Charlie Kirk says "I think at a certain age, it's an initiation" while discussing televised/public executions; fact-checkers note some viral rephrasings added embellishments, but the quoted phrase is supported by contemporaneous transcripts.

What caused the vacant seats at Trump's Youngstown rally?

X · RR47 post 3,783 likes/163 replies (syndication, 14:45Z, about 90 min after posting); WaPo reporter Emily Davies' photos of empty sections 3,467 likes; Kaitlan Collins/CNN segment; Daily Beast, Raw Story, WaPo and WFMJ coverage

Can't Verify

The post correctly points to coverage of empty seats at Donald Trump's Oct. 12, 2026 Youngstown rally, but its claim that the emptiness was caused by 'gigantic press risers' blocking views is unsupported by independent reporting or available photos — the causal explanation appears unverified and potentially misleading.

Is South Africa's White population projected to fall to 2% by 2066?

Instagram · Briefly News (13 Oct): Visegrad 24's Instagram post of 12 Oct drew over 800 comments; projection by 'The Common Sense' from Stats SA 2025 mid-year estimates · resurfaced

True But

The post's present-day figures (White ≈7%, Black African ≈82%) match Statistics South Africa's 2025 mid-year estimates. The claim that 'an analysis by The Common Sense' projects the White share falling to ~2% by 2066 is supported by secondary reporting attributing that projection to The Common Sense, but the long-range number is a model result produced by that outlet (not an official Stats SA projection) and should be treated as a scenario-based projection rather than a certain outcome.

Does Abdul El-Sayed's family have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood?

X · Rogers campaign ad post: 4.4K likes, 339 replies (syndication, 2026-10-13); AG Hamilton post quoting the sister's 2012-13 posts: 2.4K likes. Washington Free Beacon report, Mediaite 12 Oct.

Can't Verify

The video uses real headlines, a sister's old social‑media post, and reporting to allege family ties between Abdul El‑Sayed and Muslim Brotherhood‑linked organizations. The sister's 2012 post saying 'my family has long been MB' is corroborated by reporting; other assertions (mother's employment at an IARA office, father‑in‑law's leadership roles, and a relative's watch‑list litigation) are reported but rely mainly on investigative pieces and court‑record summaries. Some claims in the ad conflate disputed associations into stronger 'ties to terrorism' allegations, which overstate or simplify the underlying records.

True But

The video is authentic and shows President Trump publicly promising that, if Republicans win both the House and Senate in the 2026 midterms, he will give every adult U.S. citizen $5,000; news outlets and archived posts corroborate the clip. What did Nigel Farage say about the asylum scam?

YouTube · Said during Reform UK's livestreamed asylum press conference; Guardian live blog flagged it as an exaggeration (Ukraine ranks 104/181 on Transparency International's CPI). Wider spread on social not yet measured.

Misleading

This transcript is from a Reform UK press conference delivered on 12 October 2026. Several of the speech's statistics (for example, that detected small-boat arrivals since 2018 have passed 200,000 and that a record single boat carried about 230 people) are corroborated by mainstream reporting; many other specific causal claims and detailed allegations mentioned in the speech (for example, the claim that the 230-person boat launched from 'Utah Beach', or that US bombers were withdrawn from RAF Fairford for migration reasons, and several named criminal-case descriptions) were not corroborated in the sources consulted. The overall framing is strongly partisan and misleading in places.

The X post is authentic: Nigel Farage posted and publicly announced a pledge on 12 October 2026 that a Reform UK government would suspend ('shut down') the asylum system. Did Roy Cooper release 83 murderers who committed 25 murders after being freed?

X · Trump posted the claim twice (Oct 11 evening and Oct 12 morning, second time invoking Willie Horton) backing Michael Whatley; covered by Washington Times, RSBN, Tampa Free Press and syndicated Center Square story; Washington Times noted no source given for the figures.

Misleading

The media (a social post attributed to Donald J. Trump) appears authentic, but its claims about Roy Cooper 'letting out 83 murderers' (51 serving life) who then 'committed 25 murders immediately after being released' are misleading and in some parts false. Fact-checkers and local reporting show the February 2021 settlement and related lists are being misrepresented; high-profile cases cited (for example DeCarlos Brown Jr.) were not released as part of that settlement.

Did Annie Andrews claim her opponent changed her name recently?

X · Exchange from the Oct 11 SC Senate debate written up by Newsweek; Graham replied 'My legal name is Graham and has always been Graham'; debate widely covered (CNN, NBC, Post and Courier, Daily Beast, Raw Story).

Misleading

The clip is authentic broadcast footage from the Oct 11, 2026 South Carolina U.S. Senate debate and the caption accurately quotes Annie Andrews. Some statements in the clip are factual (Andrews' identity and debate presence), but Andrews' suggestion that her opponent 'changed her name recently' is misleading: the opponent says her legal name has always been Graham and that she only used a different surname on a social media profile.

Misleading

The attacks on Yandex data centres on Oct 8–11, 2026 are confirmed and monitoring data show a large drop in automated traffic from Yandex's network; however the viral chart claiming a 30%–56% collapse in AfD-related online activity lacks a stated source or methodology and its attribution to the Yandex outages is unsupported.

True But

Reports from AP, Axios and other outlets confirm that HSI agents conducted a judicially authorized search of Rep. Ilhan Omar's home on October 12, 2026 as part of a federal criminal/immigration probe. The long-running allegation that she 'married her brother' remains unsupported by credible evidence and has been repeatedly debunked by fact-checkers.

X · Delhi Police post 37.9K likes; Dipke rebuttals 40.9K and 31.8K likes (X syndication, 12 Oct); Hindustan Times 11 Oct

True But

Delhi Police’s X post and the video it released are corroborated by multiple reputable news outlets: Dipke and two associates were detained on 10 Oct 2026 and police released footage (and a press statement) showing officers informing Dipke of his grandmother’s death and offering travel and a call, which the police say he declined. The police framing that their footage contradicts CJP’s allegation that they denied a phone is supported by the released video, though the dispute remains contested by Dipke and his supporters.

X · 10.2K likes (X syndication, 12 Oct); El Español, 20minutos, Público coverage 11 Oct; camp organisers reply 'Aquí no hay ningún terrorista'

Can't Verify

The video is authentic footage of Isabel Díaz Ayuso making a public allegation (10 Oct 2026) that a group with 'antecedentes terroristas propalestinos' is managing the Puerta del Sol encampment; Spanish press widely reports she made the claim and that she referenced foreign designations. However, independent, primary evidence proving that a proscribed terrorist group actually manages the camp was not found in the coverage located, so that central factual claim remains unsupported.

What did Stephen Miller claim about Trump’s record for the midterms?

X · 1.3K likes (X syndication, 12 Oct); RVM News and Raw Story coverage 11 Oct

Misleading

The video is authentic Fox News interview footage. DHS/CBP did announce '16 consecutive months of zero releases at the border' (a specific operational metric), but Miller’s phrasing that 'zero illegal aliens' were 'allowed into the United States' is misleading. The claim that fentanyl is 'down over 50%' and that this decline is directly caused by the cartels being designated as foreign terrorist organizations is not supported by a clear, single nationwide dataset or by demonstrated causation.
